I've managed development and implementation of ECM Solutions for different purposes during many years, i.e. at TeliaSonera, Trygg-Hansa, Sonofon, Viking Line, Tele2 etc.
The ECM solutions are mainly web solutions or solutions for document management. The web solutions could support different purposes:- external homepages/portals for customers
- intranet homepages/portals for partners or suppliers
- internal homepages/portals for employees, IT services, or projects
- e-Commerce including e-booking (i.e. courses, rooms, etc)
- submit and manage customer support tickets
- etc
The document management solutions could support: - create and update documents
- scanning
- transfer documents
- archive documents
Developing ECM solutions normally include following tasks:- analysis of current business processes and business requirements
- design of solution
- manage development including testing
- manage implementation including testing
- training
